OUR HERITAGE
The name Banderari has echoed through Terni’s medieval streets since the fourteenth century. More than a brand, we are custodians of a lineage of artisans and merchants who helped shape the city. Our vision brings the knowledge of an ancient craft into a contemporary language, creating garments that bear witness to a way of life that refuses to hurry.
OUR MISSION
THE METHOD
Our mission is to preserve the art of making. In our Terni and Foligno ateliers, time slows down. Non-automated machines, the skilled hands of our master tailors and a constant search for exceptional materials — from vicuña, the ‘fabric of the gods’, to the softest cashmere — define our method. We create lasting investments in a personal wardrobe.
THE RITUAL
Entering our historic palazzi marks the beginning of a ritual. Choosing the cloth, taking measurements, cutting the fabric. Every gesture is a ceremony; every stage allows time to slow. Here, you are our guest.

Crossing the threshold of a historic palazzo changes the pace. Before any decision, there is time to listen.
CHOOSE
Cloth, measurements, proportions. The hand intervenes only where needed, with the precision of a gesture practised many times yet never automatic.
WEAR
The final fitting completes the ritual. The garment becomes part of the life of the person who chose it.
THE MATERIAL
True richness is felt. Merino, Geelong lambswool, alpaca, Gobi camel and precious vicuña form our palette. We know the story of each fibre and the mill it comes from, and treat it with the respect it deserves. Material is our vocabulary.
OUR LAND
Umbria is our home. The ancient stone of our ateliers, the light through their windows, the quiet of medieval streets. Every garment we create carries something of this landscape. We are a part of local history in conversation with the world.
