A seven-fold tie, made exclusively by hand, is a tie whose fabric is folded back on itself several times, creating seven folds visible on the reverse side of the blade.

The end result is a decidedly thicker and more substantial tie, capable of not falling out of the jacket during movement, as the fabric used is greater in volume and quantity than the classic three-fold tie.
